Special Issue on Large Animal Stem Cells and Cloning
Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering (FASE), 2018

Background, Objectives and Scope
Large animal stem cells and transgenic cloning models have great potentials in regeneration medicine and animal reproduction and breeding. However, there still remains many challenges in derivation of high quality pluripotent and lineage stem cells, comparison of the embryo-development mechanisms in various species, and improvement of the transgenic and cloning method and efficiency.

In order to share frontier research achievements and discuss the scientific challenges in this field, we plan to organize and publish a Special Issue on Large Animal Stem Cells and Cloningin Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering (FASE).

Authors are invited to submit letter, original research and critical review papers. News & Focus are also welcomed. In this special issue, we welcome contributions on:

1. Embryonic stem cells
2. Induced pluripotent stem cells
3. Germ cells
4. Lineage stem cells
5. Animal gene modification and cloning
6. Related new methods and technologies

Submissions open: 1 June 2017 –1 March 2018
Decision deadline: 1 March 2018
Expected publication date: June 2018

About the Journal and Submission Procedure
Published by Higher Education Press, Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering (FASE) is an open access journal published both in print and online. More information of the journal is available athttp://engineering.cae.cn/fase.

Manuscripts will be reviewed with the same rigor as for other submissions to FASE. Please submit your manuscripts through the FASE online submission system at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/faseand refer to the “Large Animal Stem Cells and Cloning” in the “Cover Letter”. The editors will strive to complete the review process within two months upon receipt of the submissions for rapid publication.
