摘要:Translational medicine (TM) is a bridge to connect basic sciences with medical applications.The emergence of the concept of TM facilitated the transformation between basic scientific research and clinical application.In this article,we will discuss the roles of collateral disease theory in prevention and treatment of major diseases,improving the quality of the diagnosis and treatment,performing research and development (R&D) of new patent drugs,theoretical teaching and academic advancement,development of Chinese medical industry and clinical application,with the optimal operation of the “five in one” mode:‘basic theory—clinical application—scientific research—education—industrialization’.This process can in turn enhance the sustainable development of Chinese medical industry,promote the inheritance and innovation of collateral disease theory and implement the translation between medical theory,basic research and clinical application.
