Abstract By analyzing the challenges of China s energy supply, an excellent perspective of nuclear power development in the country has been described. Taking into account the near-, mid-, and long-term development requirements, a comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable nuclear power program is proposed. Thus, our national nuclear industry can not only catch up with the world s advanced level in proper time, but also possess enough stamina for sustainability.
