Abstract Ni-7at.%W alloys were fabricated by powder metallurgy process. After heavy cold-rolling and recrystallization annealing, sharp cube-textured Ni-7at.%W substrates were obtained. Deformation and recrystallization textures of Ni-7at.%W alloys were studied systematically. It was found that intermediate annealing during the process of cold-rolling is beneficial to the formation of a cube texture in the Ni-7at.%W substrate.
