What is the scope of Frontiers in Biology?
Frontiers in Biology provides a forum for a broad blend of peer-reviewed articles in order to promote rapid communication and exchanges among biologists all around the world. The primary criterion for publication is new insight that is of broad interest to biologists, not only to specialists, and the presentation of results must be appropriate for a wide audience of biologists. Frontiers in Biology publishes novel research of special significance in biology, especially in the areas of genomics, proteomics, neurobiology, genetics, developmental biology, biochemistry and molecular biology, and cell biology.

Who publishes Frontiers in Biology?
Frontiers in Biology is a bimonthly academic English journal supervised by the Ministry of Education of China. The journal is sponsored and published by Higher Education Press and circulated outside China by Springer. The journal is available in both print and electronic versions.

Is Frontiers in Biology exclusively in English?
Yes. Frontiers in Biology is a peer-reviewed international journal and is exclusively in English.

What types of articles does Frontiers in Biology publish?
Frontiers in Biology publishes novel research of special significance in biology especially in the areas of genomics, proteomics, neurobiology, genetics, developmental biology, biochemistry and molecular biology, and cell biology. Submissions of the following types are invited:

* News
* Reviews: comprehensive, authoritative, descriptions of any subject within the journal's scope.
* Research articles: original experimental reports in the most competitive and emerging areas within the journal's scope.
* Advanced Technique: focused on the lasted technique in biological research.
If my manuscript is rejected from other journals, will the reviews be helpful for publishing the manuscript at Frontiers in Biology?
Yes. Papers rejected from other top journal (e.g.. Nature, Science, Cell, The Plant Cell), if the authors choose, may be submitted with previous reviews and decision letters. This allows for the consideration of a paper without sending for additional review. When a manuscript is submitted, the Editor assume that no similar paper has been or will be submitted for publication elsewhere. Further, it is understood that all authors listed on a manuscript have agreed to its submission.
